Polish Is Bad For Nails - StyleLies

Filed under: Fashion, Beauty, Makeup, How to Wear

Nail polish makes nails brittle and cracked right Paula?

Well, it can. But there is a whole world of products, polishes included, that help make nails strong if you're a polish fiend. If you take care to moisturize the cuticle and nail itself with cuticle oil and apply a coating of nail strengthener before you polish, you'll be well on your way to healthy nails.

When you want to take your polish off, remover can also be drying. Be sure to pick one that has moisturizing properties and as little chemical product as possible. After you've removed the polish, rub in more cuticle oil and coat your hands in moisturizer. Wait at least an hour before you wash your hands and reapply polish.

A daily dose of calcium also helps keep nails healthy and resilient no matter how much you polish.
