We especially love menswear-inspired pieces (like this bow necklace from design duo Shaoo) during the holidays, when there are more excuses to dress up and look dapper.

What makes this item especially unique is the technique behind it. The designers, Ho Yuk and Wen Wei, are a duo that got their start working for Parisian couturier John Galliano. They started out on their own in 2006 with Shaoo, putting ancient Chinese paper-cutting skills to work in their designs.

This particular piece, made of pleated white leather and lengths of dangling chain, would look absolutely stunning with a tuxedo jacket, mini skirt and a pair of patent platform pumps.

(And after debuting it on December 31, you could wear it out again just four short weeks later to celebrate the Chinese New Year.)
