What the Flip? College Kids With Video Cameras
Filed under: Accessories, Fashion, News
Smile, you might be on a Flip movie! MTV gave sleek, tiny and easy-to-use Flip camcorders to 100 college kids, asking them to make mini-movies and upload them to What the Flip? site, MTV is also giving away a free Flip video camera each day to encourage even more people to unleash their inner Spielberg or Scorsese.
People used their Flip camcorders to create video footage with specific themes like "share a secret" or "last dream I remember" and upload them to the What the Flip site. The editing geniuses at MTV pick the best of the videos and mash them with cool music to create surprisingly cool one minute masterpieces.
Some of the episodes you can watch on the site include:
You've probably seen the cute, sleek Flip cameras, either in your friend's hand, or in stores. Our favorite is the Flip Mino, for a couple of reasons. First, it's lighter, tinier and easier to use than a cell phone. You can slip it into a pocket and be ready to capture the action wherever you go!
Even better, you can customize it, either with a design from the Flip gallery, or with your own image that you upload. Your video camera can uniquely match your personal design aesthetic. How stylish is that?
It's the perfect gift for the creative person in your life who is ready for cinematic fame and fortune via MTV!
