5 Trends in Men's Fashion We Hope to Leave in 2008 - Good Riddance
Filed under: Men, Cosmetics, Fashion, Beauty, Makeup, Stylish Living
Each year, we see tons all sorts of short-lived fashion trends that, at the time, seem to have some promise, but look kinda stupid immediately thereafter. That's part of what fashion is all about, and it's cool. Still, every once in a while, we see a look that's so ugly, annoying, or inconvenient, that we hope that it will be stamped out with a vengeance. We''ve poured through our files and made a list -- and, of course we checked it twice -- of the Top 5 menswear trends of 2008 that we hope will die out as quickly as they arrived. Check out our picks after the fold.

I agree with you on several of these.
The deep v-neck thing just looks a little too effeminate to me. However, I haven't noticed that many guys wearing them here in New Zealand, and the one's that I have are usually gay. By the way, I'm not saying that deep v-necks *look* gay - the guys wearing them actually were though. That's fine for them. But, I don't really want to dress like a gay man.
Pants tucked into boots: Well, only if I'm tramping through a swamp.
Mantyhose and man makeup: WTF!?! Yeah, let's bring back powered wigs too! Not!
I saw a guy the other day, in a black suit, wearing some charcoal coloured mantyhose. He had his pants rolled up to the knees so that the mantyhose wear showing and he had the cutest little slim-profile man-bag hanging from his side. ;)
While his look might cool on the runway, or in a magazine spread, there's no way I'd wear it on the street like he was doing. I just wouldn't want to deal with the harassment he most likely received.
The guy just looked *so* affected. LOL!
