Tracey Ross: Another Fashion Victim of the Economy

Filed under: Fashion, News, Designers & Brands

The Tracey Ross boutique has been a vital resource for Los Angeles fashionistas for nearly two decades, but Ross announced yesterday that she's closing her namesake store -- and soon.

"Of course, it's the economy," Ross told WWD. Since opening her first location in 1990 on Robertson Boulevard -- long before it became a go-to shopping destination -- Ross' eye for trends has been legendary in Los Angeles.

We've always loved the mix of ultra-luxe brands (Jimmy Choo) and hip streetwear lines (Corpus) the store has offered, and the shop will be missed.

If there's any light at the end of the tunnel here, it's that between now and New Year's Eve, you can snag great sale finds at the Sunset Plaza store as well as on the Web site.
