We're all constantly bombarded with info on what's hot and what's not. While it's cool to go trendy, sometimes it's better to go classic. Especially when it comes to night makeup. Check out our three favorite evening makeup looks that are as timeless as they are quick, minimal, and easy.Shimmery Skin: A radiant glow has been a staple for years.
1. Less is more. Don't overdo it or it will look like glitter, not glow.
2. On face, apply to cheekbones, bridge of nose and bow of lips. On body, dust onto collarbones, shoulders, arms, and down shins.
3. Stick with golden tones that mimic a sunny complexion. Steer clear of silver.
Red Lips: One of the oldest, most ladylike tricks in the book.
1. The look is bold so keep the rest of the face clean. If you must apply elsewhere, dab the same red color on cheeks for a healthy flush and a coat of mascara.
2. Line, apply lipstick, blot, dust with powder, and apply one more coat. Liner is key so the color doesn't bleed and the powder will help lock the lipstick in place.
3. Bluish red is good for cool skin, orange red for warm, brown red for olive and plum red for dark complexions.
Gold Liner: This is an under-the-radar look that has been around for decades.
1. A twinkling golden lid is a great way to add glamour to a fresh face. Bronze gold is the most flattering while yellow gold is the least.
2. Keep it simple and apply to upper lash line, smudging upward towards brow bone. Or really go for it and line the entire eye with gold and then rim with black.
3. Bronzed cheeks with a nude lip or peach cheeks and eyes will best compliment the look.
