Burn Calories by Snoring
Do you snore? Do you offer the sound of runaway trains on bumpy tracks as the lullaby to which others rest their weary heads? Do they complain that your train is chugging through a tunnel about a foot from their station? They sure do whine a lot. Then there is the weight. Do you have some extra baggage you would rather not have checked? Who doesn't?
You're going to love this. There is a light at the end of said tunnel. SNORING BURNS CALORIES. Yes, you read that correctly.
Researchers at the University of California San Fransisco have discovered that heavy snorers burn more calories per night than non-snorers. However, since snoring and obesity line up at the same buffet it isn't being hailed as the next miracle diet. But hey, it's something.
Now before you start throwing away all of your nose strips and conductor hats there are other side effects to snoring that you may want to consider. For instance, snoring is also believed to be a sign of increased risk for stroke. So there's that.
In the meantime, when someone complains about your snoring you can just tell them you're working out, and for added effect you can call them lazy. But don't offend them too much, you'll want them close -- just in case.
Choo-choo!

I love it! I think the tossing an turning associated with snoring burns off some cals too. I expect we'll hear more and more this year about the connection between sleep & weight loss.
