The People's Choice Awards are a casual, fun event, where celebs can really let loose with their style, if they so choose. However, this year was relatively tame in terms of fashion. No worries though, there are a few stars who wowed us on the red carpet in 2009.

Our personal favorite of the night was hot newcomer, Annalynne McCord. Girlfriend might not be showing off serious acting chops by playing on 90210, but she's making the waves in the fashion world. What caught our attention most about her outfit was the contrast of the modern bandage dress and gladiator-esque heels with her old-glam Hollywood hair. Our only nit to pick was that the chunky cuff is a bit matchy-matchy with the shoes. Annalynne isn't quite a style superstar yet, but she's getting there.

On the other end of the spectrum, Carrie Underwood's arrivals dress was a total let down. It looked like she was wearing grandma's curtains, or maybe just a really bad (curtain-y) prom dress.
