Oy. Super popular e-commerce site Eluxury.com will no longer function in its current capacity, opting instead to close the retail portion of the site over the next six months.




While one will no longer be able to purchase Maison Martin Margiela and Thakoon at the same place anymore, they will be allowed to enjoy Eluxury.com in its new magazine form. WWD reports:

"A spokeswoman at LVMH confirmed the San Francisco-based e-tailer is in the early stages of transitioning the site into an online magazine focusing on luxury markets. She said the reason for the closure of the retail operation was not based on the site's financial performance, but rather because many of the brands it sells have developed their own online presences."

This is shocking. By all accounts, Eluxury.com was doing great and to just up and call it quits is bizarre regardless of what the company's flack says. That said, if you want to take advantage of their ultra amazing sale we advise you to go now before it disappears.
