No way! Gossip Girl is doing a spinoff -- based on their two most boring characters -- Rufus Humphrey and Lily van der Woodsen. *Snore. The new show will be going back in time chronicling Lily in her teen years up to the point where she meets and falls in love with Rufus. It's set in Montecito and San Fernando Valley.

However, we hope the producers are aware that unless young Lily is as utterly fabulous as her future daughter Serena, or as entertainingly evil as as Blair Waldorf, we're not interested.

Though, we have a feeling that the costume design might end up saving the show. Just imagine the 80's fabulosity that could come of this! We better see designer wardrobes ... with shoulder pads, blue eyeshadow and giant bangs! Without all those key elements, CW, don't even think about it.
