Jamie Lynn Spears Chooses Wedding Gown
Filed under: Fashion, Best of the Season
She was just a young girl, facing the worst possible consequences of premarital sex. Then, her baby daddy cheated on her. Jamie Lynn Spears' life could not be any more complicated. So if there's one thing she's going to plan out right, it's her wedding to Casey Aldridge -- yes, that would be said cheater.Even in the face of break up rumors for the young couple (she's almost 17, he's 19) reports are surfacing that Jamie is going full speed ahead with organizing the wedding. In fact, she's already bought a dress!
The gown's creator is the infamous Monique Lhuillier, who also did Ashlee Simpson's wedding dress, amongst other celebrities she's designed for.
As for other wedding details, we'll just have to wait and see since a date hasn't even been set yet. But, Jamie Lynn has the dress -- and as any bride knows, that's the important part.

what?!! i thought the whole getting married thing was just far-right frosting to make everything ok. it is not ok. jamie, you are about my age and, yes, you have a child already but that doesn't mean that you should get married. you have an entire life ahead of you to find the guy for you, and one that won't cheat and holds your wishes with the same regards as your own. just slow down and think. having a child is not grounds to be married, terribly loving someone, who respects you and loves you too, is.

Jaime: I know you want the best for your child and I know you want to keep the thought of the perfect life something to strive for, but please don't do the wrong thing and compound your problems. You both have lots of mental growing to do and that's the reason most teenage marriages don't do well. I know teens think they have it all together, but as you grow, you will learn how much you didn't know when you were 18.

It is okay to be a single parent. You'll make it just fine. Wait a few years and give yourself time to grow up!

Make sure he signs a prenuptial agreement so if it doesn't last you don't have to worry about him trying to taking money from you

There are much worse things then being a single/unwed mother. One of the things that comes to mind is a marriage of an all too young teen mother that has not matured beyond the playing house stage. Have her parents not learned anything from the trials and tribulations of her sister? If indeed she does marry the guy, I give it 18 months at the most until we see headlines that it is all over. What on earth is wrong with her mother, Dad seems to have a fairly level head, but it is obvious that mommie dearest had too much control and influence on the two girls.
I was an unwed mother 50 years ago at a time that it was not done...staying single and keeping the child. Yes it was hard, but I have not regretted it for an instant that I did not compound the felony, so to speak, and marry him. It would havae been so wrong for both my son and myself.

Think about your life and your baby's life. The value of keeping healthy relationships better mean something to you--it doesn't to him. He is selfish. If he does this once- it will keep happening. He will not be an example you want for your baby. UNDERSTAND??? Children are maps of their parents. What kind of mapping do you want to imprint?? Your sister has had a heck of a time -WHY?? BAD DECISIONS. When you can learn from someone else's mistakes-DO IT!!

What is the point in getting married? He has already cheated on her, so what is the attraction there? Didn't she learn a lesson from her sister, or do they just do things different down south? Just because you can procreate with someone, it does not make a family. A family is made of trust between the members, not just because he can make a baby. She is setting up her life to be extremely disappointed. If he cannot stay faithful BEFORE the marriage, what makes her think he will after the wedding? Very, very seldom do people change. I would watch her back if I were her marrying the scum.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater."
Wrong. Couples can and have worked things out after one of them cheats. It takes strength from both—the cheater to admit his or her (women cheat, too) mistake and their partner to forgive them and give them a second chance. It happens.
That said, 17 and 19 seem WAY too young, and it's definitely wrong, no matter how old they are, if they have NOT, in fact, worked it out and are only marrying because it's expected of them or they think it will be good for their child. A loveless marriage is no better for the child than it is for the parents.

I love to watch you "guys" screw up your lives and fail. Especially when you have all the money.
Money can't be happiness and can't make your 19 year boy not cheat. I feel sorry for the baby.
