The Younger Skin Diet - Week 3
Filed under: Fashion, Beauty, Designers & Brands
Alright, Week 3 of the "Younger Skin Diet" is upon us. My skin has been breakout free and I swear it, more rosy and radiant from the inside. We've also lost some weight and, to boot, my fine lines have been diminishing everyday -- guess removing those "bad" foods in Week 1 and toxins in Week 2 was worth it! Now see what I learned and applied in Week 3's lesson, "Getting Rid of Breakouts Forever."To be totally honest, my husband and I both cheated a little on our Food Intolerance cleanse (come on, the Eagles were in the championship!). About an hour after indulging in a margarita, eating sausage sandwiches on white rolls for dinner and a brownie with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream as dessert, I had a massive headache and was left feeling nausea on the couch while my husband was up all night, cramped, constipated and unable to get to sleep. I woke up sluggish today and my skin felt extra dry. Yuck!
Though the snacks were a delicious treat, oddly enough, we couldn't wait for today to begin so we could get back to our granola eating ways. Who knew? Plus, it sort of proves Rose's point about unnatural sugar/refined flour being some of the worst things for your body.
Anyhoo, earlier on in Week 3, I started using a certain antifungal/antibacterial essential oil on my skin in lieu of night cream. The results were immediate, I kid you not. Here's what happened thanks to this miracle oil:
• The two small pimples I mentioned last week were completely gone in 2 days. That means no redness, no swelling, no nothing.
• My pores were visibly smaller the following morning.
• The crow's feet around my eyes have shriveled and the fine lines on my forehead are much less noticeable.
We were also given tips on 3 different types of supplements/vitamins that help kill bacterial infections (which is exactly what acne is) from the inside out. Rather than only treating the physical signs of acne (which is what a topical treatment does), doing it this way gets to the root of the problem and rids your body of acne for good.
These supplements also help to:
• Rid the body of other infections including yeast infections, athlete's foot, and thrush (all of which mean that yeast has spread throughout your entire body, ew!)
• Rid the body of candida – a yeast that, when formed into a candida overgrowth, makes the body crave sugar and bread
Lastly, just an update, my husband lost 15 pounds thus far and I lost 5. Yippee but at the same time, ugh, men!
So things are looking good and I can't wait to share Week 4's lesson with everybody "Foods That Stimulate Collagen Growth." Who couldn't use some more of that?!
(PS - If you want to find out more about what oil Rose suggested or which supplements to use, ask her yourself!)
