Kerin Rose designs accessories for people who don't mind being noticed. Take this breastplate-style stunner from her jewelry line A-Morir.

Rose, who got her start designing clothes, began creating jewelry -- and multicolored, rhinestone-studded sunglasses -- at the behest of stylist and designer Patricia Field. (Field's New York store now carries many of Rose's pieces.)

The "Solo" necklace, made from dyed rooster feathers that dangle to the waist, is just the kind of luxuriously over-the-top kind of thing we imagine wearing to a speakeasy while we do the jitterbug and swill a mint julep. (Yeah, we do a lot of imagining around here.)
