We've been seeing jumpsuits all over the place lately, and while we're still a little nervous about incorporating them into real-life wardrobes, we have to admit that we're digging some of the hot new styles. Vogue obviously is, too, since they're calling for the Return of the Jumpsuit in 2009. They write in this month's issue: "Versatile enough to be worn by a skydiver, Studio 54 habitue and spaceman alike, the jumpsuit stages a comeback in all its chameleon-like glory." Now that's an endorsement!
But still, if even top Hollywood starlets and stylists are able to manage this trend (sort of), how feasible is it to expect regular folks to sport the look? There are so many ways to go wrong with it -- too tight in the body, or too short-waisted, and you're looking at a serious fashion faux pas. However, when it's right, it can look so cool.
Bottom line is this -- we're going to support this trend, but with major reservations. If you're going shopping for one of your own, don't go without a very honest friend. And maybe a camera. What do you think?

Yeah, I don't know, even at my thinnest moments of youth even overalls made me look like my upper body was being carried in a sack. How skinny does someone have to be to fit into one of these? I'm size 6 now and there's just no way.
