Katsuya Kamo's Pretty Paper Headpieces for Chanel Couture

Filed under: Fashion, News, Runway Report

Chanel CoutureJapanese hair and makeup artist Katsuya Kamo has never been content to work with the basic tools of his trade. His floral and paper headpieces for Chanel's couture show, held just days ago in Paris, were proof of that.

The creations, which he designed with Karl Lagerfeld, brought to mind whipped confections and birds in flight, a nod to Kamo's love of creating ambitious and breathtaking feathered pieces for editorial spreads.

In fact, the dreamy headwear and equally ambitious set almost eclipsed the clothing itself, demanding so much attention with their intricate detail.
