The male obsession with the, ahem, chest area is well documented -- but we always assumed that that obsession was focused on the chest area of the female (at least for straight males) and that they didn't give much thought to their own chests. How wrong we were! Turns out men are looking in the mirror, not liking what they see, and doing something about it, according to data from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

The number of male breast reduction surgeries in 2008 increased by 44 per cent from 2007, and frankly, we don't know what to make of this trend. Is the increase in plastic surgery due to a parallel increase in male vanity? Have the metrosexuals of old given up on expensive creams and decided to go under the knife instead? Or are men indulging in too much food and too little exercise?
