Australian fashion designer Nicola Finetti favors architectural construction and likes to surprise with mix matched themes, like classic beauty meets new toughness. From a gravity defying look book for SS '09, the silk net, full-skirt dress, shown above, comes in white-black or beige-ivory palettes.

The Italian born Finetti debuted his own collection in 1995 and aXessory for jewelery, shoes, bags and belts in 2003. While a bit under-appreciated in US, he's got a pair of flagships in Australia (Melbourne and Sydney) and the collection can be found around the world in Paris, Dubai, Hong Kong and London. These days, Nicola Finetti is considered a highlight of Australian Fashion Week so keep an eye out for new forays in the States.
