We recently got to do a Q&A with jeweler of the stars, Heather Hyde. She's funny, refreshing, and inspired – just like her collection that is, by the way, worn by nearly every starlet in Hollywood. Seriously! Rihanna, Rachel Bilson, Mischa Barton, Tori Spelling, Kim Kardashian... and the list goes on. And she told us why Tinseltown loves her work.

Q: If you weren't a jeweler, what would you be doing?

A: If I wasn't a jeweler, I would be a comedian. Seriously! I can hardly imagine what I would do otherwise. I am a very creative person, so I'd have to... [do] something else where I could utilize my creativity.

Q: Who is your favorite star to work with?

A: Mischa [Barton] is definitely my favorite because she wears my jewelry so much. It's really flattering that she wears it as much as she does.

Q: Do you have a muse that you would love to see wear your collections?

A: Chloe Sevigny because she is always unique and I like her unexpected fashion choices.

Q: All of the collections are fantastic but I am curious as to which one is your absolute favorite. I'm sure they're all your "babies" but if you had to choose ...

A: My favorite collection would have to be the Lucky Charms. They are simple, dainty and you can mix and match them and wear them with almost anything.

Q: Tell us something interesting about your pieces that we wouldn't otherwise know.

A: Some of my pieces are made with recycled shell casings from guns. Also, my first designs were made with pieces from my grandmother's chandelier. That was a big part of what inspired me to start my line.

Q: What's on the horizon for Heather Hyde? Please spill!

A: I am doing a re-launch on my website in the next month, so please keep an eye out for that. I am also focusing a lot of my efforts on my charity work with Childhelp, one of the largest national non-profit organizations combating child abuse and neglect across America. I am setting up auctions for my jewelry, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Childhelp.
