Vulture wondered this week whether indie queen Zooey Deschanel is a harbinger of doom for magazines.

The evidence? The starlet appeared on the second-to-last issue of Jane magazine in 2008, as well as the second-to-last edition of Domino, which was recently killed by publisher Conde Nast.

However, let's not single Zooey out.

With print mags falling like (ahem) dominoes, it seems more than likely that every celebrity will soon share a similarly unfortunate distinction. In fact, the latest buzz in media circles is that Allure may be the next Conde Nast women's magazine to go.

Proof that perhaps Deschanel is much more an innocent bystander than print poison.
