The first month of the year has come and gone. You were so sure this was going to be the year you stuck with your resolutions. But as usual, it's getting more difficult by the day to keep your motivation high. Here are a few tips to keep you inspired to look your best in 2009.Here are tips for the three biggest resolutions that millions of us take on annually.
1. Breaking a Bad Habit: Experts say it takes 21 days to break a bad habit. But before you can break it, you to have the mindset that you are 100% committed. And don't use crutches (for example, if you're quitting smoking, no patches).
2. Lose Weight: Anyone that has been on the diet wagon knows that they don't work. It's very difficult to keep up a super strict diet and exercise plan for more than a few weeks. Don't make it about "losing weight." Make it about "gaining health" instead.
3. Money Management: In today's economy, money woes are high. And it goes deeper than your pockets – it can drain your life. Set financial goals (like paying off a credit card by the end of 2009). And keep important relationships in the loop (husbands, parents) so that they can help support your efforts.
