Becki NewtonAh, your ugly, peeling nails. Darn the winter. Darn the dishes. Darn those nice, hot baths! So how do you bring them back to life without giving up the things you love to do/have to do? It's easy – really! Just follow our tips and your brittle nails will be up to par in no time.

• Eat plenty of biotin rich foods like almonds and eggs. Or take a supplement daily.

• Do an at home soak of lemon juice, olive oil, and vitamin E at least weekly.

• Use formaldehyde free polishes.

• Coat hands with a thick cream, like shea butter, and put on a pair of gloves. Even better done after the soak.

• And use gloves for any duties you have like cleaning, washing dishes, or giving the kids a bath.
