Jennifer Connelly in Balmain - I Want That!

At first we thought Jennifer Connelly danced to a one man band by the name of Nicholas Ghesquiere (Balenciaga). But now we see that she can clearly play the field after she completely rocked out in this Christophe Decarnin (Balmain) creation.

Shoulders pads are so difficult to pull off but with a pin thin frame like Jennifer's, a crazy little sequined dress gets the elegant, avant-garde look it deserves.

But we have a feeling others might disagree. While Boydie loved the look because of it's high fashion attitude, fellow blogger Cat despised it -- meOW!

What are your thoughts on this dress?

Please eat some food Jennifer! She is one of the most talented actresses of her generation but it looks like her legs could snap with a well-placed kick. I don't remember her ever being this thin before.

My problem isn't with the dress, which is fine -- pretty but not earth-shattering. It's the way the dress looks on her freakishly scrawny figure! Even designers use padded hangers. Jennifer looks like she's about to drop dead from heart failure, leaving two sons and a husband to mourn her. But hey, maybe they can dress her corpse in this "great" dress.
