Designer Scott Sternberg isn't a fashion designer in the sense that he has no design training and doesn't wax poetic about notions of beauty or form. His approach is for standard classics, done with tweaked proportions and traditional fabrics. Most traditional brands aspire for a a mature, monied clientelle (somtimes called geezers). In contrast, Band of Outsiders has a traditonal appeal, as in vintage Brooks Brothers, but a style and fit for younger audiences.
