Want to look fancy in a flash? Then try out our new favorite trend.

Stars like Diane Kruger and designers like Chanel and Proenza Schouler have been plugging the penguin-esque black and white tux trend for a few weeks now. The reason this trend is a stand out to Stylelist is that there are plenty of ways to downplay and make this look more casual than it first appears. Plus, you can combine it with some of the new 1980s trends (harem pants, lace) to make it really fresh and playful. And seriously, what's more chic and effortless than black and white?

Love this trend and it is perfect for the office. My favorite look is the Phoebe Couture Tuxedo Ruffle Dress from Neiman Marcus.

Fashion Week is a fashion industry event, typically named after the host city or major commercial sponsor, lasting fourto ten days. It is held so that fashion designers or "houses" are able showcase their "collections" for either Spring or Fall seasons.
