MAKEUP: Gucci Westman for Revlon
BEAUTY SNAPSHOT: Westman, whose work we recently saw at Rag & Bone and who recently did Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore's makeup for the 2009 Golden Globes, created a gothic recession fairytale look for the Cynthia Rowley show.
THE SCOOP: To make this classic, romantic look, Westman kept the models' skin very natural, using a creme blush and very little of it. As you can see, the eyebrows are natural and carefully brushed upward, and though the effect of the green shadow (inspired by a green dress from the collection) is gothic, there is no eyeliner. Apply shadow generously on the lid and blend outward in a round, winged shape with a small brush -- then carefully use the brush to swipe the color under the outer edges of the eyes, as well. The lip is done in a purple to create a big, fairytale contrast to the shadow.
GET THE LOOK: Westman used Revlon Cream Blush in Blushing Mauve and Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Tempting Teal. As for the lips, watch stores in April and May for the arrival of a lipstick in "Va Va Violet."
