Sure, we've seen Angelina Jolie's black strapless ruched Elie Saab gown -- or something just like it -- several times now. But why mess with perfection, just for the sake of novelty? Especially when you can make an impression with statement earrings, like Angie did with those 115 carat emerald teardrops by Lorraine Schwartz.

It's a great style lesson that we can all use, especially these days when budgets are tight. When you find something that really works for you, invest in the highest quality version of it that you can afford and then wear it again and again, changing the mood with different jewelry.

Jen out classed Jolie by far! The general public see her as an asset instead of a cheating ass, no moral, pot smoking, baby buying for publicity, heroin, cold mommy dearest, tatoo toting skank! Jen rocks! Many many people pay to see her movies, that can’t be said for the Pittiful and his sidekick who many have banned! I can’t wait for the day when Pittiful and jolie dump one or the other and those poor kids destined for juvenile delinquency and drugs and JOLIE’s favorite knives and viles of blood, what a mother figure! BLAHHHHHHAAAAAA!

If you want the Angelina emerald earrings, minus the giant price tag, a great option is to use chandelier findings. They're pretty cheap and look just like Angelina's emeralds. I used GSPN Crystal.

My wife (an artist and jeweler) was struck by Angelina's earrings at the Oscars and finally got around to making her interpretation. Once she started and found the stones, it took a few days with tools and torch. Have a look at the results here: nelegene.com.
