The Dreaded Drop Crotch for Men - Yea or Nay?
Filed under: Runway Trends, Jeans, Men, Fashion, Denim, Runway Report, Stylish Living
While we're not really sure that we'd be doing old-school sheik culture justice by referring to these top-heavy sweatpants as "harem-inspired," the drop crotch look for men is being adopted, or at the very least, pretending to be. According to the rumor mill, Corpus' now infamous drop crotch pants have sold out a few times over at OAK. Even though we're not seeing them with any regularity outside of fashion blogs, chatter about these extremely comfortable looking, yet unflattering pants has been mighty persistent over the past year.Needless to say, we're not rushing out to buy the saggiest pair we can find. Even if we wanted to, it doesn't appear that they are too easy to get your hands on. What we're really interested in at this point is figuring out if these pants have any chance of becoming a true fashion phenomenon -- or mass fashion foul, as we might put it.
Urban Outfitters is selling a pair of twill pants they're calling drop crotch, yet they're obviously nowhere near as outlandish as the Corpus sweatpants. TrousersLondon is also hawking a pair of jeans that take the drop crotch thing a step lower, but still not ridiculous.
What do you think? Are you feeling it? Or not? We could definitely see the moderate drop crotch look going somewhere, but a full-on men's version of the harem pant ... that's probably going to remain an Arabic tradition.

Hi,
I can daily feel geppebba as the most comfortable pair of trousers but with functional aspects they are just more capable than usual pants. In my opinion it`s a new segment which reflects an evolution of baggies. At first it´s an aestethic piont of view, but after a while you will get used to wear it and that`s it - you will find your favourit
cheers, geppetto

Look good. Definitely. I don't feel like wearing jeans everywhere. These pants are cool. In my opinion they help you to express your mood. With jeans you can hardly do that.
