Lily Allen has Tattoo Buyer's Remorse

Tattoos applied after a night of boozing it up are just one of those things ... you never know when you're going to regret getting one, but you probably will at some point. Apparently, Lily Allen's tattoo remorse set in pretty much instantly. That's because the seemingly clever "Shhh ..." tattoo she had sketched on the side of her index finger turned out to be an almost exact replica of one that Rihanna got last year. Guess great minds think alike ... or something like that.Maybe that should go, celebrity minds malfunction alike. Whatever the case may be, apparently Lindsay Lohan is in on this copycat tattoo thing as well. She and Allen were reportedly partying together in Los Angeles on the night that they decided to get matching tattoos. Aw, how cute.
Apparently, whoever thought up the idea couldn't seem to remember that they'd seen the somewhat practical design before. We say 'practical,' because in the world of body art, a shhh tattoo is pretty much the beacon of usefulness. According to Allen:
"I've since found out Rihanna's got the same thing, so it's not really -- I mean she's very cool -- but I thought I was being original."[via Blackbook]

pete i saw your post and just could'nt help but to agree with you. i remember this basketball player, if my memory serves me correctly ; whose mother was watching an old sherlock holmes movie . she went into labor and went to the hospital . upon having her son delivered , the nurse brought him to her and asked what she was going to name him . the woman could'nt think of a name so she named him baskerville holmes . her last name was holmes . but come on . i think he played for memphis state.

Glad to see other people think tats look disgusting. Especially on women. People think they're "expressing themselves" but when half a million women in the seventies got a tattoo above their ankes, sorry, you're not unique. You're a lemming. And 30 years later it looks like a bruise and takes away from the beauty of your body. It's FOREVER. Don't be stupid. I cringe when I see beautiful women in strapless gowns with tattoos on their arms, back, etc. Their beauty just flew out the window.

Not everyone is prepares to die their whole lives. Some people, especially the young, prepare to live. Some people want to enjoy lives while they're young. If they like tattoos, they should get them. When they get old and look at their saggy, wrinkled tattoos, they will have fond memories of their youth and it will bring a smile to their faces. At least they have lived their lives in a way that made them happy.

i agree that tatoos can look ridiculous but if it is small and has sentimential value, such as a memorial tatoo i think it can be special, but if a tatoo is a result of a drunk night out that is a bad choice

As a heavily tattooed woman, I feel obligated to inform you that it's not about what you (society) thinks. It's about doing what we feel compelled to do and redefining beauty for ourselves.

These young girls better enjoy their tatoos now because they don't age well. I've done direct patient care and when people get old and saggy or fat and the skin tightens, those tats don't look good at all.
They are also an embarassment when you grow out of whatever phase of life caused you to scar your body. They can be reminders that you don't want. Also, depending on the site and the content, tattoos can be a major hinderance for employment.
So think twicw before you do this to yourself.
