Prince Charles Nabs Best Dressed Honors

Best Dressed Men
HRH Prince Charles
Yes, his clothes are completely predictable, but considering his royal position and how many public appearances the man makes, we definitely understand why he doesn't want to take many sartorial risks. As we said, he wouldn't top our list, but we certainly respect his style.

Ronnie Corbett
If you're not British, you're likely wondering who this tiny man is and why he nabbed Esquire's Number Two spot. He might be short of stature, but the 78 year old is tall on humor. And apparently, big on style, particularly argyle -- who knew?

Barack Obama
Well, this is certainly a name we all know, and we've been hearing plenty about his wife's sense of style, but Barack? He always looks just fine, but we don't know that he's the fourth best-dressed man in the world. Perhaps power and personality have a good bit of influence.

Roger Federer
The tennis hottie looks good in more than just his tennis whites, and Esquire is rewarding him -- he nabbed the Number Eight spot this year.

Andre 3000
The former Outkast rapper rounded out Esquire's Top Ten, and we're thrilled, but a little confused. He definitely doesn't dress like most of the other men on the list -- we adore his style, but it's far funkier than, say, Prince Charles' or President Obama's. He was a nominee for GQ's Best New Designer this year for his Benjamin Bixby line, so we're expecting far more Best Dressed lists for this man.

Tom Brady
This super-casual, totally All-American football player took Esquire's Best Dressed honor last year. But, of course he dresses well -- he's always accessorizing with Gisele Bundchen!

Justin Timberlake
Nobody's going to doubt the style selections of famous face behind the William Rast line, and this year, GQ named him their Best Dressed Male. And it doesn't hurt that he looks awfully cute in pretty much anything!

David Beckham
Posh and Becks are like a style super-couple, and we can't look away. Neither can Vanity Fair -- the mag gave the Best Dressed title to David in 2008.

Why won't Queen E step down and let Charlie have his turn? She must be aiming at Queen Victorias record of 63 years...but she'll have to hang on until 2015 to do it....sorry Charlie...you might never make it.

The Queen will never step down and allow Charles to rule. She is waiting for Prince William to be responsible enough to take over, Charles is a moron.

I wonder how many suits he owns? As a royal his clothes are never discareded. They said Princess Diana had so many gowns and cocktail dresses and other clothes that long hallways had to have wardrobes built into them. You see they can never give the clothes away because you wouldn't want them to be abused or turned into junk. You don't want to actually "destroy" them by burning or shredding. So what do you do with them? The auction about a month before her death which did a small clear-out was a wonderful idea. Great idea of William's. I look over time that perhaps they will have more of those for charity. Also, can you imagine how many articles of clothing the Queen must have in storage! The same thing. I read somewhere where they still have every piece of clothing she has every worn. I think most of the storage is at Buckingham Palace. Now she's never been the fashionista that Diana was but there's still plenty. I wonder if Camilla will ever rival Diana in fashion? Somehow I don't think so.

HRH Elizabeth does not keep all of her old clothing. She routinely sorts them and sends them to a (pricey) second hand shop for sale on consignment.

But when it comes to dental work... 3-06-2009 @ 5:41PM
Jughead will never win any awards for his dental work. If you've ever seen a close-up photograph of him smiling, you can see the partially rotted piano keys he eats with. For a country that is so gung-ho on socialized medicine, how come they only have one dentist in Great Britain?

Here is a guy who hasn't gone through the past few years mistake free. Is he somebody you would want in a position of power?

In order to make a mistake, one has to DO something first. He's not the leader of the UK, and he's not the Prime Minister, so what exactly is it that Charles does all day?

The author makes it sound like there's something wrong with pressed shirts. Charles, best-dressed in the world? I don't know about that. That Ronnie Corbett guy has to be a joke...the old brown belt with the bluish suit, and what looked like brown suede bedroom slippers...are you KIDDING ME? Timberlake and David B. are definitely always beautifully dressed, although Timberlake clearly rips off Frank Sinatra...but I guess there's nothing wrong with that...it's just so blatant. As far as Obama...yes, he's always meticulous, but I read he only owns like four suits. So, how do you call a guy who has millions of dollars, and only four stinking suits one of the best-dressed men in THE WORLD? I understand, they want to show how he doesn't waste money on things he doesn't need, but I think to compete with the Beckhams and Timberlakes and Tim Gunns, you need more than a few suits and some shirts and ties in your rotation.

England is a small country, they don't have picture ID yet because everybody knows each other so this is simply a case of Ass Kissing the boss!

I'm sure he has more sartorial splendor in his closet than anyone. However, one has to wonder if this selection was made by the same people who rave over the Oscar winner's outfits yearly while panning those worn by the losers.

Why should he compete. His wife spends all the money on her back lol. He just got in office give him time. I mean it said he does dress comfortable around the white house and nothing wrong with that. I mean after all how many black suits or blue suits do you need. As long as he is clean and coordinated let him be comfortable when around his home. And no one ever said he doen't always dress smartly. Its her that needs the help.

I can only agree with Prince charles as # 1 and Mr. Beckham as a choice, Federer's suit doesn't even fit! and that Ronnie guy has a big gut that would hide any for of fine tailoring. The others ,"what a joke" they must have paid you!!

Prince Charles, the best dressed man on welfare. Lots of people would dress better if they had all that money gave to them like this bum does.
