I am a 33 year old obsessed photographer. I'm married with three children and I own a brick and mortar business with a staff of 25+. When I was kid I was always interested photography and some friends loaned me an old film camera to use for a period of time. I loved it but had no clue what I was doing. Fast forward to last year, I finally got the camera I had always wanted. It has quickly become an obsession, I take it with me everywhere. My poor kids are so tired of Mom making sudden stops for photo shoots!
How did you get started as a artist? Well, I think it started when I noticed that weren't many photos in my family. We have very few photos of our childhood and as the oldest child of five I decided to correct the problem!
What inspires your work? Nature, without a doubt. It is so rejuvenating and peaceful to me! It is my escape from my crazy busy life. There is nothing I love more than to pack up my kids and head out on a nature hike with my camera. Not only do we find beautiful places we haven't seen before to photograph, the best part is the memories I get to treasure forever of the time spent with my children.Who are your favorite designers? I love Ansel Adams' work, so beautiful!
What are your top fashion & beauty must-haves? My giant Lucky bag, Pureology shampoo and conditioner, mascara and lip gloss.
Any advice you would give to aspiring artists and designers? Hmm, well I'm still aspiring myself but I think it's important to do what you're passionate about, I think it comes through in your work and that will appeal to someone somewhere.
