Katie Holmes Steps Out With Long Hair

Remember when Katie Holmes was better known as Dawson's love interest than the taller half of TomKat? When she was more likely to dress like she shopped at JCPenney than in Paris? And when she had that long, thick hair? Well, that Katie is back! Or, at least, her long hair is.

At the Japanese premiere of "Valkyrie," Katie had long, loose waves that would make Joey Potter proud. And while we definitely approve of the change (not to say we don't love her sleek, chic, shorter hair too, because we do!), we're wondering what prompted it.

Katie's been under scrutiny for her thin frame recently -- she's reportedly undergone a drastic Scientology detox (a Purification Rundown, according to the Daily Mail) in order to prepare her body for a second pregnancy, and it's left her looking a little frail. Maybe this was a way to draw attention away from it (or cover her protruding clavicles).

Christo Dishes on Short Dos

Gennifer Goodwin made a seemingly overnight tress-formation, appearing at the He's Just Not That Into You premiere on February 2 with long, wavy locks. Two days later, she rocked a straight, shoulder-grazing bob. We're loving the new do - how about you?

Paris Hilton has joined the Katie & Posh Club, shrinking her long blonde locks into a chin-length crop. We say "shrinking" because it's hard keep tabs on the extension-fanatic's true lock length. But hey, when you have your own line of hair extensions (Hilton's line is called DreamCatchers), your chameleon-like hair length is your best advertisement. Or maybe it's a return to the way she looked when she and Tom fell in love. Or, perhaps, just maybe, Katie was simply up for a change -- we can certainly relate!

i agree nobody can grow hair that dam fast nobody u c her now long hair i bet u anything u c a picture of her later today / or later this week tommrrow or month from now in short hair like i saw her in a picture just last week or the week before. u know how they do photo touch up and all . fake fake fake .

They are called extensions. Many people, especially celebrities, use them to achieve different looks. I'm not sure Katie Holmes was trying to trick people into believing her hair grew long overnight.

Ya know, Katie Holmes hasn't existed for a very long time now. What we see is the Stepford Wives version of her that Tom Cruise had made for himself. She's programmed to say what Tom wants her to say...and he can even make her hair longer with just a pull on her locks. Scientology does have its rewards.

What's with the "purification"? get a grip - the Good Lord gives & takes. Sit down, say a prayer & live your life as good as you can. Sounds like a CULTISH thing to do. I hope she isn't being so abused (mentally) that she ends up another casualty like Nicole Brown or Rhianna(?).
