She utilizes recycled materials often in her work, transforming these well-loved fabrics into fun and funky new clothing and accessories.

Tell us a little about yourself and your work. My name is Alanna and I am Poutfits. I transform new and recycled materials into fabulous garments and accessories.

How did you get started as a designer? I developed a sudden obsession with fashion a few years ago and now I make clothes. The artistic community in my town has been immeasurably supportive of my efforts.

Who are your favorite designers? The list is so, so long ... some of my favorites are Sandra Backlund, Rei Kawakubo, Nicolas Ghesquière, Rick Owens.

What are your top fashion & beauty must-haves? Night driving glasses and tea tree oil.

Any advice you would give to aspiring designers? There is no time like right now to live out your aspirations.
