Lola and George has really great cocktail rings -- and cufflinks, too! Maybe you can't afford a whole necklace or bracelet for spring, but cufflinks and cocktail rings are luxuries you can afford!

Lola and George is a sparkling, easily-recognizable line by designer Carla Taylor. Taylor was born to hippie parents in Lima, Peru, and moved to Washington D.C. when she was three. There, she "spent time exploring her grandmother's spectacular jewelry box full of Amazonian jewels and the finest Peruvian gold." Taylor got interested in sculpture in high school, and excelled especially in wire sculpture and the art of melting stuff (whatever that's called).

Now based in Las Vegas, Taylor makes glittering, dazzling jewelry, many with melted stuff and wires. According to her website:

"Carla's travels also greatly influence her designs. Some pieces have a subtle Incan influence which can be seen in intricate spiral patterns. Ancient Incan civilizations used spirals to represent personal evolution and strength. Peruvian jewels, beads, semi precious stones and berries are sometimes incorporated in some pieces. Carla also works with deconstructed vintage pieces drawing inspiration from the films of the 1930's and 1940's, in particular the exceptional glamor of Rita Hayworth and Jane Russell."

As we mentioned, we particularly recommend the Lola and George cocktail rings and cufflinks. Check out our favorites below!
