New Jersey Set To Ban Brazilian Wax

Ultra-groomed women in New Jersey: Time to book your Brazilian wax, that rite of spring you've come to love. This may be your last chance!
The state's Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling is considering banning all "genital waxing" -- which means that bikini waxes will be a thing of the past -- just as we're emerging from winter, which seems particularly cruel.

The fact that genital waxing has technically always been illegal in New Jersey hasn't stopped salons from offering the procedure for years, so why the change? Two waxing patrons were injured and one is suing, so the board has decided to tighten the language and vote on banning the procedure on April 14.

If the measure passes, and that's a big if -- considering the growing uproar, we predict a surge in weekend business at Manhattan's spas from New Jersey women with major hair issues. (And no, we're not talking mall hair.)
