Liam Gallagher to Launch a Celebrity Fashion Line

Liam Gallagher performs on an Italian TV showLiam Gallagher, you remember that guy right? The lead singer for 90's Brit pop super-group Oasis? Anyway, the telegraph is reporting that Gallagher will own and design his own "up-front, straight-talking, classical clothing range" called Pretty Green (named after a song by The Jam). Says Gallagher, "I'm not here to rip anyone off and I'm not doing it for the money either. I'm doing it cuz [sic] there's a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear."

While he may have not timed his jump into the world of fashion to best coincide with his name recognition -- which probably peaked in like 1997 -- we do seem to remember him being a pretty fashion-conscious rocker. The Pretty Green lineup will feature "footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories." No word on when the line will hit stores.

Also, we're not really sure if the name "Pretty Green" has anything to do with the green fashion movement. If so, it's a decidedly weak way to market eco-fashions. How environmentally friendly are these fashions, Liam? Pretty green or just kinda green? We're going to have to assume there's no connection to environmentalism, for now.
