Reese Witherspoon left her typically sophisticated style behind at the Los Angeles premiere of her new animated film Monsters vs. Aliens. Stepping out of the box almost always backfires for most actresses but Reese managed to look fantastically futuristic in her Rodarte dress.

While the silver and emerald green dress (from Rodarte's spring 2009 collection) fit perfectly with the movie's sci-fi theme, Reese's toned gams were in another realm. And she knows it! She wore a mini skirt silhouette and flirty gray and yellow Balenciaga pumps, to bring the focus to one of her most flattering assets; those legs!

A designer dress like Reese's Rodarte confection may be hard to come by. But you can get a similar look by pairing a shimmering emerald green dress with silver jewels or a shiny silver frock with emerald gems to keep with the futuristic feel.
