Japanese Astronaut Tests Experimental Anti-Stink Underwear

Isn't it time that underwear technology caught up with our hectic, water-conscious lifestyles? A Japanese astronaut is testing a pair of high tech skivvies that fight odor for more than a week between washes. Koichi Wakata will be the first Japanese astronaut to live on the International Space Station. He's also the first to test out J-ware -- a line of clothing developed by Japan Women's University to "kill bacteria, absorb water, insulate the body and dry quickly."You might be thinking: do I want to wear a pair of undies for an entire week without washing them, even if they were sanitary and fresh-smelling? That's probably a topic you should discuss with your significant other and/or shrink. Still, how would you know if the option has never been available before?
Aside from being stink-free, the advanced fabric used in J-ware are actually flame-retardant and anti-static as well. What else would you expect from Japan's top textile whizzes? Hopefully, J-ware will join the shower suit in revolutionize the way we wash our clothes.
We're not sure exactly who will be targeted by J-ware when the line goes commercial, but we see some definite potential with athletes and hikers. Possibly a fair number of environmentalists skipping showers to lower their water footprint too.
