Spotted on the Spring 2009 runways (last fall) -- crazy sunglasses! These beauties by Hussein Chalayan were seen in white, yellow (pictured), and blue. Is this just the fun pick-me-up we need for spring, or is this batdung crazy?

It's hard to know what's going to be fashionable a year ahead of time, and sometimes the designers make some pretty bold guesses. These definitely look like they're from the future ... but how many years in the future?

Another question we had -- are they actually even sunglasses? We can't really see lenses! So ... these don't even actually protect your eyes.

They just look wild. That's all they are there to do.

We might not be sure about these beauties, but we do love Hussein Chalayan -- he makes some surprisingly and delightfully affordable pieces for women who want class with an edge. Have a look!
