The Sculpted Face - Is This Wearable?

BalenciagaCelebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath showed us how to create the Spring 2009 Sculpted Face look she created for Balenciaga (right). Bronzer is out this year; if you want color you can either go for the Rosy Glow look we covered, or try this daring look which involves shading with taupe! Naturally, no one expects you to bleach out your eyebrows, but is this wearable?

McGrath called the Sculpted Face look "Sci-Fi Couture," and encouraged us to use one shade of taupe all over our faces to highlight contour, like cheekbones, the inner corners of our eyes -- even in our cupid's bow. "Anywhere you can create a contour, use taupe shadow. You can add eyes and lips to this look to make all kinds of different looks."

Not all of us have model faces with all those easy - to - define lines, though. Annie Scott gave the look a try on her non model face, and well ... Sci-Fi Couture may be right.

Celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath showed us how to create top looks from the spring runways, and now we're testing them out.
