Michelle Inspires Yet Another Fashion Designer

The accessibility of her modern style is so refreshing, though it continues to upset some high-end designers she isn't opting to wear.
But leave it to someone who knows a thing or two about designing for the modern-day woman, Elie Tahari, to design this aptly named "Michelle" dress (right).
The painterly fall frock will retail for $598 in July at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale's, as well as in Elie Tahari Collection Boutiques. A $498 solid plum version will follow in October.
Note the one-shoulder silhouette (need we mention her Inaugural gown?) in honor of Michelle's amazing arms, which Tahari talked about today on CNN's "American Morning." He raved, "I noticed when I saw her that she wears bare shoulders and she had great arms."
Tahari summed things up perfectly, "She has a great style, and what's great about her is she is dressing like everybody else can dress." Amen to that!

I agree that her style is pretty yet accessible. Not everyone is going to love what she's wearing all the time but style is subjective! Although a lot of people can't afford a $500 frock right now, they can at least use it as inspiration when searching for a more affordable look! Great post!

You just hit the nail on the head why all these snooty uptight fashion moguls are saying she needs fashion help - because she doesn't dress like she is on a runway 24/7, and they can't stand it! They were sure she was going to put $$ in their pocket, but it turns out, Michele is on the side of the Average Jane.
Go Michelle!
