Spray foundations, bronzers and highlighters are a hot new trend in the beauty-sphere.
Used for years on movie sets and fashion shoots to create an ultra-natural looking finish, these featherweight formulas have recently spritzed their way onto the shelves of drug, specialty and department stores. Why the love? Since the spray application diffuses the pigment,the finish looks super sheer and natural. For extra light coverage, gently pat the foundation-covered sponge on the skin using light, uniform strokes.

For heavier coverage, stipple it on the skin -- simply spray the foundation it on a makeup sponge, and then work the makeup onto your skin using firm, circular motions.

Since spray foundations were such a hit, beauty companies debuted spray bronzers in their wake. It's a great way to get a very natural looking tan. "And thanks to the easy and convenient spray can, you can spritz it on and run out the door," says Carmindy

Apply it to your face the same way you would your foundation – by spraying it on a makeup sponge. That way, you can easily apply it to the places that the sun would naturally hit your skin – the temples, along the sides of the face, and along the cheekbones.

If you want a temporary tan that easily washes off at night, use spray bronzer on your body. You can spritz it on your neck, decollete and even your legs for a quick jolt of bronze that won't rub off on your clothing.

If you want to take it up a notch, add an all over body spray in gold. You can spray it on your arms, neck and decollete for an all over glow.
