Would You Call This Model's Body "Normal?"
Despite being the über-privileged child of a UK rock star and 20-year-old author of her very own column in Nylon magazine, Peaches Geldof wants you to know that she's just like you and me.
Okay, at least in terms of physique.
As the new face -- and body -- for Miss Ultimo lingerie, she said, "I'd rather young girls were looking at a normal body like mine rather than an anorexic model."
Uh, is anyone else seeing what's wrong with this picture?
When I see Geldorf's slim-yet-curvy body, "normal" isn't the first word that springs into my mind. "Enviable" and "smoking," yes. Especially in that vintage-y lingerie. (And good news: if you won't be popping round to a Debenhams in the UK, where they stock the stuff, you can have the fun lingerie sent to the US via the brand's website, missultimo.com.)
But it's true -- she would look out of place in a high-fashion lingerie campaign, where jutting, angular bodies are the norm.
Even so, it seems insane to me that having an ever-so-slightly softer shape would be a talking point of a major newspaper article, as well as prompt Geldof to out herself as some sort of fringe character on the fashion scene.
And honestly, if that's normal, sign me up.

Peaches Geldof, Lingerie Model
Peaches debuts new lingerie from Miss Ultimo. Loving the pink motorcycle gloves.
No razor-sharp hipbones here, thankyouverymuch.
Presumably, Peaches eats lots of food, yet pulls off very little clothes.
Peaches shows off her killer body and some serious tattoos, most notably an impressive daisy chain that runs from her thighs to arms.
