Halle Berry Takes It All Off!

Halle Berry Cuts Off Her Hair. Photo by Flynet
We're thinking this is just a dress rehearsal for her most shocking cut yet -- the one involving shaving her head! Berry is set to go bald for the upcoming film "Nappily Ever After."
And while HB may go from short to long to short again without so much as a flinch, the star has a different attitude about her impending cue ball look, admitting in this month's Harper's Bazaar, "I'm scared to death. I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it's uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie."
Stay tuned for pics of a bald Berry.
Leave a comment telling us what you think of Halle's new 'do. Plus, what should she do next? (She will be starting with a clean slate after she shaves it all off for her new movie role.)
Christo Dishes on Short Dos
Gennifer Goodwin made a seemingly overnight tress-formation, appearing at the He's Just Not That Into You premiere on February 2 with long, wavy locks. Two days later, she rocked a straight, shoulder-grazing bob. We're loving the new do - how about you?
Paris Hilton has joined the Katie & Posh Club, shrinking her long blonde locks into a chin-length crop. We say "shrinking" because it's hard keep tabs on the extension-fanatic's true lock length. But hey, when you have your own line of hair extensions (Hilton's line is called DreamCatchers), your chameleon-like hair length is your best advertisement. Before you follow Hilton's, lead check out what stylist to the stars Christo told StyleList about how to pull off a short do.

Victoria Beckham: Before the Cut
There was a time when Posh had long, flowing locks (well, extensions) before she went for her dramatic razor cut bob that kicked off the trend in Hollywood.

Victoria Beckham: Short Do
"Victoria has a great bob that works with her style," says Christo. "There are not too many hair textures that can pull off this look; it has to be fine and straight." One advantage of a shorter cut? "They are fun to play with and can be very versatile. Ask your stylist how to play around with styling tools to create different looks."

Katie Holmes: Before the Cut
When she started dating Tom Cruise, Katie's hair was long and straight.

Katie Holmes: Short Do
"Katie Holmes can pull off a short cut," says Christo. "She went from a young pretty girl to a sexy woman who turns heads." But Christo warns, "Don't forget you need to be backat the salon 4-6 weeks after getting a short cut. Be prepared to put the money and time in."

Anne Hathaway: Before the Cut
Before she chopped her locks for her upcoming film Dancing With Shiva , Hathaway was known for her long, thick hair.

Anne Hathaway: Short Don't
"Anne's stylist played it safe and gave her a short bob cut. She's a very pretty girl but this look doesn't accentuate her beauty," explains Christo. "With her facial structure, I would go with a shorter cut like Selma Blair's."

You both seem a little off your rockers to me. Geeze, get a grip.
Commenter 5-27-2009 @ 3:42PM
No, they were not extensions. Halle has beautiful hair and is gorgeous and you probably aren't! Or, you might be somewhat attractive yet insecure around other attractive or more attractive people. That would be the only reason for and individual to make a statement that denigrates another person. I deal with you people all of the time! Appreciate yourself and others.. it'll make you more beautiful inside and out!

SHUT UP PSYCHO.....GET A LIFE....U LOSER! If you get that upset over a comment made about someone you don't even know, then you are truly an idiot!!!! I know about YOU people as well, take your meds and find something productive to do....U FREAK!!!!
Commenter 5-27-2009 @ 5:34PM
Actually, I didn't get upset over your comment. I was just making a comment about what you said. That's the point of commenting, right? However, based on YOUR response, you are the one getting upset (probably because you know that I'm right) and I find it comical that you believe that if someone makes a simple comment on what you said, they must need meds. Gain some self-esteem, honey, and stop being so jealous of others. Seems like your jealous rage might require some meds down the line. Settle down. Jealous weirdos like you are a dime a dozen. I guess I'm wrong for saying nice things about people (aka Halle Berry) and you are right for being jealous of her?
Joday 5-27-2009 @ 6:22PM
DID YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT YET? YOUR PSYCHIATRIST IS WAITING FOR YOU.....AND YOU KNOW YOU SO DEPARATELY NEED THE HELP....I never once indicated that she was not a beautiful woman, I merely stated why the big write up when those were extentions. ITS NOT LIKE SHE CUT HER NATURAL HAIR!!!! I am not jealous of Halle berry or any woman...where the hell you got that from I don't know. You know so much about jealously, insecurities, and the lack of self esteem, because that is the life you live. I am not in anyway upset and "no" psycho you are not right! I am extremely beautiful and I have a life and don't have time to sit around and defend celebrities that don't give a damn about me. If you past her on the streets she would not acknowledge you, so sit down, be quiet and do not comment on anything I say on this computer. Based on what I have read you are just that an idiot.......HONEY!!!

Halle Berry with Long Hair in Cute Curls Using Hair Extensions
Halle Berry has her long brown hair simply styled in cute curls (possibly using hair extensions, which she has previously admitted to using). "The actress now enhances her shoulder-blade-skimming mane with extensions," reported InStyle magazine, "to boost length and volume."

Hair Extensions: Strand by Strand Technique
Have you had a bad haircut, have baby fine hair or can’t wait for your hair to grow longer? One of these is the reason you’ve opened the door to the world of hair extensions and maybe you’ve found it a bit overwhelming.
You’ve seen everything from scary before and after pictures to the most beautiful ones worn by celebrities. And you want to know how to get the style you want without risking damage to your own hair.

Strand by strand method
There are hundreds of methods used to apply hair extensions and just as many types of hair. The most popular system out now is the strand by strand method made by companies such as Great Lengths, Hair Dreams and SoCap. They all use bonds made of special polymers that are pre-attached to small groups of hair to form a strand.
Right now Great Lengths is considered “La crème de la crème of hair extensions.” as quoted on VH1’s The Fabulous Life. In this episode, “The Fabulous 40”, it’s called the Rolls Royce of hair extensions and is worn by celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan and Halle Berry.
The hair that is used by these companies is all 100% human hair and comes from India or Europe. Since the hair is real it can be styled just like your own hair. Blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons and round brushes can all be safely used. The correct shampoos and styling product should be recommended by your stylist.
Though prices for these services can go up to $3000, it’s well worth it. You will find some salons charging a lot less but they probably aren’t experienced enough, using poor quality hair and use an older less advanced method of applying them.

Lol, I'm not preoccupied with celebrities--but it appears that in fact you have to be in order to have an entire google search at your fingertips all the way from 2005! Seems like you actually don't have anything better to do! BTW... I have read before that she naturally had that long hair that has recently been there as this is 2009... not 2005.I was mainly commenting on your comment, not out of a sincere caring for Berry (lol). Nor was I defending her-- all i was saying was that typically people who only have something to say thats not complimentary ( or is a denigration) are insecure. Yea, Im sure you are extremely beautiful.
I know so much about people who are insecure and jealous, not because I am one of them but because I am the opposite and see the type all of the time (and have to deal with it). Nothing from my post would suggest a type of jealousy (or being crazy for that matter), but yours does. Your post that resorts to unwarranted name calling denotes an intellect that's subpar and perhaps a vocabulary that cannot be expected to produce anything better.
debleev 5-28-2009 @ 9:07AM
Why is it that people like you think everybody is jealous. You people just crack me up. It's like you have nothing better to say so you blame it on jealousy. Obviously you don't know what else to say. I actually thought you were a psycho as well when I first read your comment. I'm not sure why anybody would be envious of the racist HB anyway. She goes on and on about how black is beautiful, but she is always trying to look white. Sound hypocritical to me. Besides, I have seen pictures of her without makeup ad she has very nappy hair. So it's obvious she gets stuff done to it to make it look the way it does. You are a moron.
joday 5-28-2009 @ 11:28AM
Whether it is 2005 or 2009, it is still extensions and that is what she cut off, not her natural hair......actually she did not cut her natural hair, she REMOVED her bought hair......I agree with debleev, U R A MORON!!!!! I am done with you...."poof be gone!" Oh and for the record that statement is old as well....lmao!!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..................
NotPC 5-27-2009 @ 4:16PM
She is about to make a movie called "Nappily Ever After"??? Hmm, If Don Imus were to call a movie that, what would happen? Oh, that's right.. she's black, it's ok. >rolling eyes

She does look good though. If you are trying to look good too... 2 good tips for women while you are losing weight is to try a yummie tummie and fitflops. They are both fabulous - the yummie tummies slim you down and don't ride up and take care of the awful muffin top. The fitflops work your legs while you wear them. Free shipping on both items while supplies last! You can get them at http://www.tomkshoes.com or http://stores.shop.ebay.com/tomkshoes

Ordinarily, I hate short hair on a woman. In Halle's case, it doesn't look bad at all.

Shorter hair is more "in" daily. The push started with Posh Victoria and Katie Holmes.
I recently donated almost 12" of mine for cancer patients.
