Christian Lacroix Faces Bankruptcy

Lacroix's CEO said the company's sales dropped 35 percent for the fall/winter season, and WWD infers that trouble was looming when its most recent runway show took place in a Parisian parking garage.
Christian Lacroix intended to spend his life in a museum, studying to be a curator. His wife's influence directed him to the fashion world, where he hit his design stride in the 1980s -- some credit the him with reviving the couture market.
Unfortunately, this appears to be just the beginning. High-end houses are feeling the pain globally. Many American designers scaled back from costly runways shows to low-key presentations for Fashion Week last February. In addition, a portion of Roberto Cavalli's empire is crumbling: Italian manufacturing company Ittierre, Just Cavalli's licensee, also filed for legal protection from creditors in February.
We're pulling for Lacroix and his whimsical wears.

Truly, this is a sad moment in history. Christian Lacroix is one of the greatest designers of all time.
His collections were never removed from elegance and class.
Hopefully, Monsieur Lacroix will persevere and rise above this financial crisis.

I was so saddened by this. But then again the effects of the poor economy are being felt everywhere.

Debt collectors are usually looked upon as the dregs of society. Richard Nixon is more popular than most debt collectors, and most people would rather get dragged over a cactus with the tailpipe of a Greyhound in their mouth than deal with them. There are statutes of limitation on how long they can harass you for – but you're still responsible for the debt, and you might need a few online loans to get started. Bankruptcy might be an option, but above all make sure to get legal advice – there are applicable laws and rights you should be aware of. It might take a few cash advances to start paying the debt, as you don't want to deal with debt collectors. Visit http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/06/11/debt-collectors/ for more info.
