Mary J. Blige definitely knows how to work a stage (I saw her live at MSG with Jay-Z earlier this year). But what does she know about perfume? We asked what her upcoming scent is like:

"It was soft, it was musky, it was floral, it was everything, I loved it." She seemed genuinely enamored.

The scent, My Life, is a collaboration with Carol's Daughter, a line that Blige is already involved in. The bottles are going to be super-luxe, and the name, of course, corresponds with Mary's album.

Queen Latifah looked radiant as always, but unfortunately arrived too late to talk for very long.

Here's what she did have time to reveal as she literally power walked down the red carpet:

What was your first fragrance?

QL: Ooh, good question. I think my mother might have bought me Obsession, or something like that.

Do you have a scent of your own in the works?

QL: It's called "Queen." It'll be out in September!

What does it smell like?

QL: Delicious! It makes me edible!
