Isaac Mizrahi Designs Salmon Skin Dress - Any Takers?

Actually, it's not for sale. (And good thing -- we can't imagine it would be the hot new trend.) Plus, you know what they say about wearing salmon after memorial Day!

Isaac Mizrahi signed on as one of 10 designers to collaborate with the Nature Conservatory and the Cooper Hewitt Museum's joint exhibition: Design For a Living World.

Designers chose one area of the world where the Nature Conservatory works, and Mizrahi went for... Alaska! He then chose the salmon skin, or salmon "leather," to create a dress and jacket. The skin is normally discarded after the fish are harvested.
