If you've been suffering from withdrawal since the end of "American Idol," Nine West might have a cure for your summer doldrums.

The main street fashion label is launching the "Vintage America Voices" contest, a YouTube-based singer/songwriter competition, on July 14. Aspiring stars are invited to submit original songs during the seven-week contest, at the end of which the seven weekly winners will compete for the grand prize of "a recorded single [courtesy of Sony/ATV], a feature in the December issue of Lucky, and Vintage America Collection product."

One of the judges is up-and-comer Miranda Lee Richards, who is also the face of Nine West's new Vintage America Collection. Richards went to New York City last week to shoot the campaign.

Says a rep for the label: "In her role as ambassador, Miranda Lee Richards will help spearhead the Vintage America Voices campaign, which includes a music sweepstakes hosted on YouTube that will encourage others to have their voices heard."

You can find out more about the competition, as well as details on how to enter, at the Nine West web site.
