Actually, this is a limited-edition scarf designed by Alexander McQueen in an effort to boost recognition of "HOME," a breathtaking aerial documentary that pleads for a global environmental initiative.

The film "HOME" is being released today (June 5) internationally, with numerous free screenings. It will also air on The National Geographic Channel at 9 pm ET and can be found online at YouTube. Appropriately, it happens to be World Environment Day.

The McQueen scarf, a manipulated representation of the dying Earth morphed into a skull (not your grandmother's silk paisley number, is it?), will be available exclusively at Alexander McQueen boutiques and at alexandermcqueen.com early this month for $285 – but you can pre-order on the site now. Bottega Veneta's limited-edition bag really is limited edition: only 500 will be sold in four of the brand's boutiques.

Gucci has designed a T-shirt that comes with a canvas bag, both packaged in recyclable materials.

All pieces are made of organic cotton, and profits will be donated to goodplanet.org, an environmental-protection charity created by "HOME" director Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
