Emma Watson Sheds Her 'Harry Potter' Image for New Burberry Ads

From the looks of Burberry's Fall/Winter '09 ad campaign -- which places Watson at the center of fellow Brits/hot male actors, DJs and models: Douglas Booth, Charlie France, Tom Hughes, Tom Guinness and Nick Wilson -- it's pretty clear the spell Watson is casting is far from that of your average teen.
Watson is quite comfortably coming into her own, in both a theatrical and style sense. She was one of just a handful of guests at a private party celebrating Rodarte last week. And now, stars in the Burberry ad campaign. That's no small fashion feat!
Famed photographer Mario Testino shot the campaign, while Burberry's Christopher Bailey served as creative director. Bailey states: "Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who, like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge."
As for Burberry's direction, it appears to be all about the trench and the tote. Rough leathers and oversized bags rule next season's collection -- we can't wait to see more.

Somebody PLEASE give her a hamburger to eat and get her a tan. She looks like an albino stickfigure and needs to tame that hair because its just too much for her little head. Her face just gets lost in it.

She's always been gorgeous. Now is not any different. These ads are going to be AMAZING. She's such a perfect choice and is a great role model for young women. She's not the typical brainless actress that is so predominant in Hollywood today. Thank god, an actress who finally qualifies for ivy league colleges! She probably gets tired of always being viewed as the same little girl from Happy Potter. This is a great way to start breaking away from that. Especially since it's almost over. Sorry Emma, you'll always be our Hermione, but you're also a lovely young lady now as well. =)

I'm looking at the first photo... Is she the girl on the right with a bag, or the girl on the left with short curly hair? lol

WOW! Forget the comment's about the food, and why the hell would she need a tan, something models avoid like the plague. Sorry Potter fans, there is much more to this young lady as any idiot can see. She is stunningly beautiful, but she always had those girl next door good look's that the producers of the Harry Potter movies wanted. She is growing into her beauty and is still very young and thin because she is still playing a student in the Harry Potter movies and is the age of a very young college student. Say what you will, this beauty has a great future ahead. Another English beauty that will be all over the movie screens and magazines in the immediate future. She's grown up, really well, get over it.

A TAN!?!?!?!?!?! REALLY???? That is absurd she looks amazing the way she is and I think that I stand for the majority not just myself when I say that a lighter healthy skin tone on a woman is much more attractive than an unnatural tanned skin tone. If you're naturally tan it looks good, if not it looks good as well, I have no problem with and actually would say I prefer a fairer skinned woman. For me the real turn off is a heavily tanned "fake" looking woman-it just looks unnatural and doesn't usually go with surrounding features-lighter hair/eyes. This girl is smoking just how she is......absolutely smokin

Just like the old Maurice Chavalier song...Each time I see a little girl of five or six or seven...I can't resist the joyous urge to smile and say THANK HEAVEN! Hey she was a very pretty little girl...now she is a very pretty big girl. That's part of the fun part about little girls...they grow up to become big girls! Better than boys! Cute little boys just grow up to become big ugly men! I know...when I was a kid I was adorable!
