All aboard! New Yorkers have been anticipating the opening of the High Line park since its groundbreaking in 2006, and earlier this week, it finally arrived.

A little back story: The High Line was an elevated railway system used from 1930s to the 1980s to keep freight trains out of the public's way. (Safety, people!)

It's located on the west side of Manhattan, and after several years of construction, it's now home to a lovely elevated park.

But back to fashion: Maria Cornejo, who is an active advocate and major fashion force in the industry (check out her recent lobbying trip to Washington), is a High Line neighbor. Well, her Meatpacking District boutique is, at least.

And in honor of her neighbor, she has designed a High Line capsule collection.

Cornejo distorted and abstracted photographs of the High Line by photographer Joel Sternfeld, then printed them on silk charmeuse.

The result: a top, dress, and scarf with a very hip New York vibe. The collection will be available at Zero Maria Cornejo stores and on zeromariacornejo.com starting June 15.

Plus, a donation will be made to Friends of the High Line from the proceeds of the sale of these garments .
